TradingView alerts not ringing?

When a TradingView alert fires but your phone stays quiet, it's usually your phone's notification settings — not the alert. A few checks fix most cases, and for the levels you can't afford to miss, a dedicated price alarm is a sensible backup.

The most common reasons

  • The phone is on silent or Do Not Disturb. TradingView's mobile alerts arrive as notifications, and silent mode, DND and Focus mute notifications.
  • Notifications are turned off or muted for the TradingView app, or for its alert category, in your phone's settings.
  • Battery optimization is delaying or dropping background notifications (common on Android).
  • The alert didn't fire. It may have expired, been set to trigger only once and already used, or had a condition that was never met on the chart's data.
  • Push isn't selected as a notification method on that particular alert.

How to fix it

  1. Open the alert log in TradingView. If the alert shows as triggered, the problem is delivery (your phone). If not, the problem is the alert itself.
  2. Check the alert's settings: expiration, trigger frequency (once vs. every time) and that app notifications are enabled.
  3. Allow TradingView notifications to make sound, and add it to your Do Not Disturb / Focus exceptions if you want it to break through.
  4. Disable battery optimization for the TradingView app on Android.
  5. Test it with a level just above or below the current price, with your phone locked and on silent.

Keep TradingView for analysis — use an alarm for the big levels

Many traders keep TradingView for charting and use a separate alarm for the few levels that truly matter. VIIJEL is built for exactly that job: set a price, put the phone away, and it rings like an alarm when the market gets there — with critical levels re-ringing every 15 seconds until you answer.

To be clear about what it is: VIIJEL is a standalone app. It doesn't connect to your TradingView account or read your TradingView alerts — it watches the market price itself, on its own servers, so the app can be closed.

Questions

Usually because your phone is on silent, Do Not Disturb or a Focus mode, or because notifications for the TradingView app are muted. Check the alert log first: if the alert triggered, the issue is your phone's notification settings.

Common reasons are that the alert expired, was set to trigger only once and already fired, or its condition was never met on the chart's data feed.

VIIJEL doesn't connect to TradingView or read its alerts. It's a separate price alarm app that watches the market itself, so you can keep TradingView for analysis and let VIIJEL ring you for the levels you can't miss.
